Protect Your Vehicles

Insuring a tow truck can be unreasonably expensive. We have spent the last 20 years navigating our way through this market and providing our clients with the very best coverage at the lowest possible rate.

Vehicle Coverage

Tow Truck Insurance Vehicle Coverage
  • Commercial Auto Liability - This pays for injury that you cause to other people and damage to their property. It includes two coverages:

    • Bodily Injury - If you cause an accident that injures other people, this coverage will pay the amount you are legally obligated to pay for those injuries and related costs.

    • Property Damage - If you ever cause an accident, this coverage will pay for the damage done to anyone else's property, whether it's another vehicle, a fence, or even a building.

  • Medical Payments Coverage - Pays for medical bills for you and the passengers in your vehicle in case they're hurt in an accident or auto-related injury.

  • Physical Damage Coverage - Pays for repairs to your vehicle caused by an accident like a collision with another vehicle or a falling tree branch. This towing insurance consists of tow coverages:

    • Comprehensive Coverage - Comprehensive insurance provides protection for your vehicle in case it is damaged by something other than a collision with another vehicle or object

    • Collision Coverage - Collision insurance provides protection for your vehicle in case it is damaged in a collision with an object or another vehicle

  • Uninsured Motorist Coverage - Pays for injury to you and your passengers caused by drivers who don't have insurance or adequate coverage. It also protects you in case of a hit-and-run.

Towing & Storage Coverage

  • Garage Keepers Legal Liability (GKLL) - Typically an optional coverage designed for business owners who have storage yards or operate service stations. It protects a customer's vehicle when you are keeping it at a covered location for parking or storing, or to perform service.

  • On-Hook (In-Tow) Coverage - Will pay to repair or replace a vehicle you don't own if it is damaged by a collision, fire, theft, explosion or vandalism while you are towing or hauling.

What Determines the Cost?

Tow Truck Insurance Cost
  • Type of Vehicles - Whether you own a fleet of flatbed roll-backs and wheel-lifts or you are just trying to insure one vehicle, the type of truck, age, gross vehicle weight and actual cash value all play a huge factor in determining the cost of insuring each truck you own. We can work with you hand-in-hand to ensure you aren’t paying too much for liability coverage.

  • Claims History - Safe driving equates to lower rates. Keeping a clean claims history by providing essential employee training and maintaining proper safety procedures ensures that the carrier perceives your business as low-risk and provides the best possible rates. • Quality and/or Age of Drivers - Hiring young drivers with a history of accidents or violations will cause a massive spike in premiums. We work with our clients on a daily basis to ensure proper hiring practices are in-place and all drivers are properly vetted before being offered a job.

  • Limits & Deductibles - Depending on your operations and contracts, each business may require different amounts of coverage. Our experienced brokers can help you in determining what amount of coverage is appropriate for your specific business needs.

  • Additional Coverage - Additional coverages like GKLL and On-Hook(In-Tow) will increase the overall cost of the policy. This will always be quoted at the same time as your vehicles to provide full transparency on price.
